BirgitCo-Founder, Teacher

Intelligent movement. Restorative ritual.

Birgit is the co-founder of SWEET SPOT and guides yoga, pilates, breathwork, and mindfulness practices. She curates and hosts retreats and works individually in therapeutic one-on-one settings.

In her teaching, she weaves together her studies of diverse yoga traditions, movement modalities, Ayurveda, Daoist philosophy, and various bodywork approaches.

Whether on the mat, the reformer, or the meditation cushion, she views every class as an intentional act of alchemy — an invitation to shift your inner chemistry. Her offerings span mindful yet dynamic Vinyasa and vigorous Katonah Yoga, empowering Pilates sessions, and her signature blend of Yin Yoga and somatic movement.

She teaches teachers in the SWEET SPOT Academy, is a Shiatsu practitioner and a fascia flosser, loves horses, to cook, to dance and could happily eat Pho every single day.

Kathi N.Teacher

Bodies talk.

Kathi is a dedicated yoga, breathwork, and fascia flossing practitioner and teacher, as well as a lifelong student. Her teachings combine Hatha and Vinyasa and are deeply inspired by Katonah Yoga® theory.

Her approach is functional, pragmatic, and undogmatic, guided by a universal metaphoric dialogue. She places great importance on precision and shares techniques that support the organs and enhance their functionality. She believes that in yoga nothing is static, and that measuring the body against archetypal forms helps dissolve patterns, habits, and inefficient technique.

In 2024 she launched her own yoga project, BODIES.TALK, which aims to help students recognize movement patterns and cultivate an awareness of how their practice can be used effectively and in harmony with the body.

Kathi K.Teacher

Kathi doesn't believe in "one size fits all" but rather in your authentic practice.

Diversity is Kathis motto – having completed an impressive 950 hours of Yoga training in a total of 7 different styles. Kathi doesn't believe in "one size fits all" but rather in your authentic practice. Her mission is to creatively guide people to their own unique movement practice – to learn to feel and explore, and through subtle nuances, challenge what has remained hidden until now.

MariaTeacher

Functional movement meets playful curiosity.

Maria teaches Vinyasa, Yin, and Myofascial Release. Her focus lies in functional movement and in building a strong, supportive foundation. At the same time, she gently encourages students to explore new movement patterns beyond their comfort zone. Her classes offer mindful, steady flows that remain accessible to all levels and invite a sense of playful curiosity.

She has completed almost 700 hours of training, rooted in a traditional yoga background that began in India. Over time, she has developed her own teaching style, shaped by curiosity, continuous learning, and a deep interest in the body–mind connection and the many possibilities of movement.

Creating a safe and welcoming space is central to Maria’s teaching. She encourages students to feel just right as they are and to explore their individual expression, both physically and mentally. Maria believes that every body is unique and trusts that each student takes what they need from class.

Outside the studio, Maria loves hiking in the mountains with her dog, is deeply devoted to Italian food, enjoys getting lost in non-fiction books, and dreams of one day living on an animal sanctuary in the countryside.
